Abstract

Intestinal parasities are diseases caused by parasites that can be predispositition and grow in gastrointestinal and cause the stomach upset in metabolism also in fisiologist of the normal host which it is lived in.Parasites can be worms (helminthes) and intestinal protozoa. The kinds of intestinal worms are the intestinal nematodes like Soil Transmitted Helminths STH (Ascaris lumbricoides, Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus, Trichuris trichiura dan Strongyloides stercoralis) and non Soil Transmitted Helminths/STH like Nematoda (Enterobius vermicularis), Cestoda (Hymenolepis nana, Taenia saginata dan Taenia solium). The Tapin district as one of the tropic climate research area that almost of all the areas are the forest and coal mining areas.
This research is the observational research by use the cross sectional design. This research is hold on the elected sample area that represent the forest area. This research in hold on the students of elementary school of Miawa.
The result of the feces speciment cross-examination of the 149 students are : 18 students as the suffer ofpositive intestinal worm deseases. They most intestinal worm infection is Hookworm, that 8 students are infected by the species. Following by 4 students are infected by As'caris lumbricoides, 2 student by Trichuris trichiura, 4 student by Enterobius vermicularis.
The statistic shows that lhere is a significant connection between the population 's knowledge, attitude, behaviour and the incident of worm deseases. It is proven by the Public Health of Piani in Tapin district South Borneo
