Abstract
Accumulation of plaque microorganism is a starting indicator of destructived periodontal disease. Gingivitis and periodontal diseases are the most common oral and dental problem in Indonesian (90%). About 61.5% Indonesian communities have tooth brushing habitual not properly ( two times a day, after breakfast and before sleeping at night). Plaque can be removed by tooth brushing. It is suggested to do the tooth brushing "two times a day after breakfast and before sleeping at night". The study used Cross Sectional study design and conducted on selected sub district primary health centers in DK.I Jakarta. On August 23 «: October 2 nd 2007. The amount of people were 828 persons conducted both gender with 15 years age and ever lived in Jakarta. They participated in this study which were affirmed by informed consent. Data analyses were using Chi Square and Logistic Regression by SPSS version 11,5. By Chi Square relation significans in sex, age, education, family burden. attitude, and utilization of health facilities with Gltgingival index}. By analyse Logistic Regression only variable age was significant (p<0,001)
