Abstract

Due to concerns in injectable safety, there is increasing interest in more practical and safe injection devices. The switch from reusable glass syringes to plastic disposable syringes alone has already played a significant role in reducing the transmission of blood borne disease, such as the viruses of mv, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, from one person to another through reuse of syringes and needles. This study will monitor and determine the properties of T-PAD, a new, single-use injection device designed for mass immunization in field conditions, evaluating the delivery accuracy of the volume, acceptability in its use and the time efficacy of its fixed volume design relative to a common disposable syringe (DS).
