Abstract

Derivied from the application of the stratification approach within the framework of improving District Health Management the following conclusions can be drawn: 1. The stratification approach can be viewed as a tool for motivation to encourage program managers to strive for best performance. 2. The stratification approach, appreantly, encourage communication among units within the ministry of health and between the health sector and other sectors. 3. The stratification approach can be used by program manager as a tool for encouraging and promoting analytical capability for problem solving in the field. 4. The stratification approach appearently is part and parcel of the process of planning and developing plans of action for program implementation. 5. The stratification approach stimulates new innovation in the developments of management tools in order fields this approach was followed by hospital stratification and stratification approach of Health Development Progress in District level. 6. The stratification approach also assist program managers to develop approriate monitoring systems. 7. The Stratification approach also stimulate the program manager to apply and to adopt the system approach in his activities.
