Abstract
Hyperthyroidism is a state of thyrotoxicosis as a result of thyroid production, while true diagnosis is done by biochemical testing. This study was observational research with a cross sectional design study. Respondents in this study were women who 20-60 years old who had enlarge thyroid gland. Location for this study in non-endemic areas with median of UIE is over 300ug/l. The number of samples in this research is 36 people. Data were analyzed using sensitivity. In this study a result that at Wayne index value of the area under the curve (AUC) 0,741. P. value=0,0085 (p<0,05) with a sensitivity of 0,55 and specificity of 0,925. While at Newcastle index value of Area Under the Curve (AUC) 0,66 p value= 0,0543 (p. 0,05), which means there is no difference in AUC with a specificity value of 0,33, 05 and a specificity of 0,096. In the study showed the correction value Cut-off point Wayne index . 21 had the highest sensitivity o,05 and specificity 1. And obtained correction value index Cut-point for New Castle> 31 had the highest sensitivity o,77 and specificity is 0,66.
