Abstract

There is phenomenon that a few production and ejection of breast milk at the first days after giving birth to become a constraint in early breast feeding. Decrease in milk production in the first days after birth can be caused by a lack of stimulation of the hormone prolactin and oxytocin plays an important role in lactation. This condition is experienced by the mother who gave birth withsectio caesarea. Sectio caesarea mothers who were often having problems with breast feeding due to lack of milk production and breast feeding delays. Research objectives determine the effect of the combination of breast care and marmet techniques for milk production post Sectio Caesarea in Flamboyan Room RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. The design use an experimental quasy of post test only design with control group. The number of samples in this study were 30 people, that are 15 people of intervention group and 15 people of control group. The samples selection use non probability sampling type purposive sampling. This study use the chi square test statistic. In the aspect of milk production based on the third day the baby indicators obtained p = 1 and aspects of maternal based on the third day of the indicators obtained p=0283. From these results it can be concluded that all indicators in milk production there is no significant difference between the intervention group (group with breast care and marmet technique) and the control group.
